Because there is no way to verify one. An anonymous thank-you signed 'Dmytro, 34' on a centre's website costs exactly one minute of a copywriter's time, and almost everyone in this field does it.
There is a second reason, and it matters more. People who have been through rehabilitation have a right to privacy. Publishing a recovery story together with a name and a photograph means exposing someone's diagnosis to their employer, their neighbours and their children. We do not do that.
Look at the centre's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/istockcentr/. You can see real posts and real comments there, and those do not appear overnight.
Read the reviews on the centre's Google listing — they are not written by the website, and the owner cannot delete an inconvenient one.
When you call, ask for the contact details of a graduate who is willing to speak with you directly. That is the question centres with no graduates are afraid of.
And the simplest test of all: phone, and ask the eight questions from the 'How to choose a centre' page. The way a centre answers awkward questions tells you more than any review.
Your review matters — but only where it can be seen to be genuine: on the Google listing or the Facebook page, from your own account and in your own words. We will never ask you to write to dictation, and we will never offer you a discount for it.
